As usual, Shopify makes this integration super simple! Once you have confirmed the needed eligibility requirements there are only 3 steps needed to get this going.
The first step is to setup up your Facebook sales channel and request Facebook to approve your shop. For more information click here.
Once Facebook approves your shop, all that you need to do is to change your Instagram profile to a business profile. Using Instagram, open your profile and then go to your settings. Click “Switch to business profile” and follow the steps to connect Instagram to your Facebook business page that you added to Shopify.
Now that you have this setup you will need to add the Instagram sales channel to your Shopify account. To add the Instagram sales channel, click here for instructions.
You’re now ready to tag products and sell, sell, sell!
To do so, select “tag products” and tap on the photo the same way you would if you were tagging a person. In the search bar, type the name of the product, select and move the tag on the photo to the correct spot tap done and then share. Instagram will pull in all product information from Facebook, including a link back to your site where customers can view and buy a product from your online store.
