NVISION is excited to announce the third annual scholarship in honour of Kevin Doherty. Kevin was employee #2 at NVISION and the first Creative Director, intertwining design and development to solve complex business problems.
Kevin passed away in 2021 after his brave battle against cancer. Kevin’s passion for creativity, sharp sense of humour, and ability to inspire those around him made him an integral part of NVISION. Kevin however, was much more than just a Creative Director. He was, first and foremost, a loving partner to his wife, Kristin, and a fantastic father to Aiden, a son, a brother and a cherished colleague. Those around Kevin knew that you couldn’t mention craft brewing or anything to do with hot sauce without learning a thing or two about it.
NVISION hopes to carry on Kevin’s legacy through The Kevin Doherty Scholarship For Digital Creativity, inspiring young creatives to pursue further education and elevate their skills.
The 2023 Kevin Doherty Scholarship for Digital Creativity
NVISION created this scholarship to carry on one of Kevin Doherty’s passions: relaying knowledge to the next generation. Kevin believed in mentoring future creatives by helping them expand their skill sets and providing career opportunities and advice.
The annual scholarship awards one student, graduating from high school or currently enrolled in a Canadian university/college, $1500 for their digital creativity. The recipient will have demonstrated exceptional skills in the digital arts or marketing, including, but not limited to, digital illustration, web design, graphic design, user experience, copywriting, marketing, and communications.
